Unfortunately, after a great deal of consideration, I have decided to step away from my management role at the club due to increasing time commitments outside of football.
I would like to sincerely thank everyone connected with the club — the committee, coaches, players, and supporters — for the memories, support, and friendships during my time here. It has been a privilege to be part of such a fantastic group, and I have genuinely enjoyed every moment both on and off the pitch.
When I joined the club, my main aim was to help move it in the right direction, and I would like to think that myself and my management team have achieved that. Over the past two seasons, we have seen significant growth and development across all areas of the club, both on and off the field.
Together, we have enjoyed a number of fantastic achievements, including back-to-back qualification for the First Round Proper of the Senior Scottish Cup, increased attendances, greater community engagement, continued development across the playing squad, and the introduction of an Under-20s team ahead of next season — creating a strong pathway from the community into senior football. To finish this season with a 3rd place finish and promotion is a huge achievement for everyone involved and something the whole club should be proud of.
This was not an easy decision, but unfortunately I can no longer give the role the level of commitment it requires and deserves.
I am delighted that the club has given me the opportunity to remain involved moving forward. Although it will only be in a part-time capacity, I will continue to do everything I can to support the club’s ongoing success and development.
I have also been pleased to play a part in the process of identifying my replacement, and I look forward to seeing the appointment announced following an extended period of consultation and collaboration over recent months. I believe the new manager will be ready to hit the ground running and continue moving the club forward.
I wish everyone connected with the club nothing but success for the future.
Thank you again for everything.
Thomas Devine.
