The visitors from Glasgow had the best chance to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty when Davy Gray brought down an opponent in the penalty area but a superb save from Gavin McLachlan kept the scores level this after the unfortunate Gray had been ordered off for the last man challenge.
Rovers mounted their first real challenge of the match in the 17th min when Ian Watt put in good work but his final ball to Darren Hamilton was poor and the chance was lost.
This proved to be the last football of the match as the injury to Scott Bellew came shortly after this earning a straight red card for the Benburb No 8 for his challenge which was spotted by the referee.
After a long delay to allow treatment to the injured player it was decided by the referee that the match would not re-start.
