Carluke Rovers are thrilled to announce the signing of Jamie & Connor McIntyre, 2 talented local brothers from right here in Carluke.

Jamie and Connor are both centre midfielders and join us from from Wishaw Wycombe Wanderers.

With these exciting new signings, we now have five proud Carluke boys pulling on the Rovers shirt.

This isn’t just football, it’s family, community and hometown pride.

As a club deeply rooted in our town, we believe in representing “A Town called Courage” both on and off the pitch, and there’s nothing braver than backing your own.

Come on down and support your local heroes and show the lads that their town is behind them all the way.

I first heard of the Rovers’ interest about a year and a half ago, but the first real discussions started around a month ago.

I had a few good chats with Peter Kane and the coaches, and I also spoke to some of my Wishaw teammates about the move.

What really helped make my mind up were the conversations with Peter about the club’s ambition and future plans.

It was something I could easily buy into.

Obviously, last season didn’t go the way they would’ve liked, but next season is all about pushing for promotion—and I’m really looking forward to playing my part in that.

We are delighted to welcome Connor to the club.

He is a player we have been keeping tabs on for a while and we are delighted he has agreed to join us.

An energetic midfielder with an eye for goal and a great attitude towards his football.

His attention to detail in planning & preparation is to be admired and I’m sure he will slot seamlessly into the group.

I’m really excited to be joining the Rovers. It’s a local club, which makes it even more special for me.

Leaving Wishaw wasn’t an easy decision, but after a really convincing chat with Peter and speaking to the coaches about the standards they’ve set and the ambitions they have, it was something I knew I wanted to be part of.

Being around my brother and uncle as well just adds to it—I can’t wait to get going and do good things for the club.

Like Connor, Jamie is another player we have been following for some time.

He is a player with really quality and intelligence and will be a fantastic addition to the group.

I’d like to place on record, my sincere thanks to Kevin McGhee at Wishaw Wycombe Wanderers for his assistance and professionalism getting these deals over the line.

Welome to the Rovers Jamie and Connor
