59 players entered the competition with everyone hoping to reach the final spot and take the rollover pot.

A selection of 9 teams were chosen for round 1 :-
Chelsea (15), Sunderland (12), Aston Villa (8), Manchester United (8), Arsenal (5), Nottingham Forest (4), Bournemouth (3), Brighton and Hove Albion (3) & Manchester City (1)

16 Players exit the competition with probably the surprise result of the round was Manchester City being pegged back to suffer a draw, with only Dewar Stevenson being the one to select Manchester City.

Biggest culprit was Aston Villa who seen 8 players exit the competition.
