End of season

Firstly can I start by thanking Commitee, supporters, players and my management team for their support and how they have all come together to create a positive, thriving environment for us all to work in.

The people involved make Carluke such a special place to be involved and getting to know them all over the last year has been a particular highlight of my season.

On to the football, overall we have seen progression at the club this season, in terms of improved quality on the pitch and results. Over the last 14-16 months we have embarked on a massive turnaround on players, to get to a place we feel we are ready to challenge in the league and that has taken a lot of time and patience but we are starting to see it bare fruits and bodes well going forward.

With change, it brought a period of some uncertainty and inconsistencies which resulted in a pretty poor start to the season, only picking up 7 points in first ten games, giving the lads a really uphill struggle but since the end of October the group has really grown and to go 12 games unbeaten at any level/league requires a lot of quality and hard work, these lads brought that and much more, we suffered another small blip when promotion was confirmed out of our reach but ultimately responded with 3 good victories out of our last four games, scoring 14 goals and conceding 5 goals in a strong finish in the league.

We go into a small break now, looking to build on a position of strength, bring in 4/5 bodies to improve and support the group further in what we see as a pivotal season in getting Carluke back up the divisions.

Onwards and upwards
