The management team at Carluke Rovers have been working hard behind the scenes not only building a team for this season but planning ahead for next season.

We are pleased to announce that Ross Steele has agreed to extend his contract until the end of Season 25-26.

We caught up with Ross and Manager Thomas in a recent interview:

    • Ross, you’ve just put pen to paper on a contract extension keeping you at the club until Summer 2026, how does that feel?

Aye, buzzing to finally put pen to paper and get this done! The management team and I have been talking about it for a couple of weeks, and I’m glad it’s finally over the line.

    • Excellent, what is it that made you want to extend your stay?

Since signing for The Rovers, I feel I am improving all the time, and I wanted to continue this by signing the extension. I am also back to enjoying playing and scoring goals as well, which is another reason I chose to extend.

    • Thomas, we’ve just heard from Ross Steele after his contract extension, how important was it to get Ross committed for next season?

For me, it was massively important to retain Ross, he has come into the club and not only hit the ground running in terms of performance but has really embraced what it means to play for Carluke and bought into the longer term aims of the club. Week on week he is improving and impressing, so getting a new deal over the line is exciting news for the club.

Delighted to have you committed for the future Ross.
