Firstly I would like to welcome Spike and the other new signings to Carluke Rovers, I look forward to working with you over the coming season.

With the first pre season friendly approaching we have now had 5 very good training sessions where I have been delighted with the effort and commitment and we are now seeing the signs of fitness improving and sharpness to move forward to the forthcoming busy games schedule.

We fully understand we have made a good few changes to personnel so the objective over the next few weeks is to get the guys to gel as a unit, get an understanding of each other and allow as much game time as possible for the squad whilst still working hard at the training sessions.

I am really pleased with this years new squad additions so far, still got a few guys to look at in our friendlies before finalising the numbers and it is healthy to have competition for jerseys in all areas of the park, we have suspensions and holidays to cover right from the off so we will need to utilise the squad.

Another major positive for the club is Stevie Murray and Gary Gow back in full training as their is no doubt we missed their presence and experience last season.

Looking forward to getting started again and really appreciate our sponsors contributions and the local support shown from the stand each week.

Cheers

Colin
