I hope you like our brand new look website and hope you use it regularly to keep up to date with what’s happening at Carluke Rovers, while the website is not fully finished, it has the makings of being an excellent site. I would like to give a big thanks to Kevin Ramage who has been the main driving force behind the new site and thank him for all his time and effort and just to let him know we really appreciate it, “Thanks Kevin”.

Well with the new season fast approaching and our first friendly tomorrow against Nithsdale Wanderers who play in South West of Scotland League, it would be fair to say that I am really looking forward to getting back to the business of playing football.

Over the last four weeks Colin and his management team have been working really hard in pre-season training with the players responding well, It would also be fair to say that Colin has done extremely well over the close season to strengthen the squad making a number of key signings which can only strengthen the team for the up and coming league and cup campaigns.

Having not seen most of these new players actually play a competitive game and only seen them in training my committee and I are really looking forward to tomorrow although the other problem we face at this time of year is the so inconvenient holiday period, that was really a joke guys everyone deserves a break, well most anyway!!

After tomorrow our games come thick and fast and on Monday night we defend the Clydesdale cup against our local rivals Lanark United, this game is well worth coming too watch, with Carluke defending the title they won last year and a new Manager in place at Lanark Brian Johnston, he will be looking to try and make an early impression, this game has the recipe for being a cracker, for our other games please check our fixtures on our website.

Finally I would like everyone who visits this site to help spread the word of all the good that’s happening at Carluke Rovers, our aim is high, but we can only get there by the help and support of the people of Carluke and the wider community whether that is by attending our games or purchasing our tote we need your support.

Carluke Rovers FC, representing Carluke and the wider community since 1887.
