A bit of Rovers history today, highlighted this morning from former manager Colin Slater.
Taken from the Facebook group “Scottish Junior Football and West of Scotland League Pictures and News” and shared by Easton Thain.
Saturday 20th March 1971 seen a Junior International at the old Loch Park Stadium between Scotland and Eire.
2 Rovers players featured in the match, at Right Half Kenneth McKinder who was captain for the day and Centre Forward Allan Anderson.
Colin also advised that the Centre half that day was John Mordue (Cambuslang Rangers) and his son Barry went on to play for Rovers under Whitey Moffat.
